Bless the Lord all my Soul and all that is Within Me.

Let your soul bless the Lord.  To do this you must do it directly and indirectly.  Directly by speaking to the Lord about how you are pleased with Him.  You tell Him that you love Him.  You begin to cherish Him directly.

You bless Him indirectly as you talk about Him to other people.  This is much more that describing some theological truth about God although it could include that.  What you are doing here is that you start to boast about God.  You talk to others about how precious He is to you and why.  You may say,  “Don’t you just love the Lord?”  After which you can talk about all of His wonderful ways and attributes that suggest that you think very supremely of Him.

Don’t forget to lay it on thick.  Be generous and don’t be afraid that you will go overboard.  I think it is sad where we often are kept from doing this because we don’t want to go “overboard”.  But go ahead Bless Him with all that is within you.  Love Him with all of your soul, with all of your mind and with all of your might.  Don’t be stingy.  Open the floodgates and let it flow.  Notice that the Holy Spirit will come to your aid as you being to lavishly poor on the praise and take pride in your King and Savoir.

Don’t be afraid of looking indignified.  For you will become far more dignified if you do this.  The angels in Heaven will give the Amen to your boasts of the Lord.  The demons will flee at the power of the words that you say.  Don’t you just Love the Lord.  He paid a great price to secure our well being.  He gave the absolute best.  The most Glorious Son of the Highest!  Being so great he came to the very least as one of the very least to bring many to share in His inheritance forever…Praise the Lord.

Isn’t He worth the blessing that wells up from our souls?  He who breathed breath into so that we become living souls.  As is said in John 1 that He is the Light that cometh into the world that lights everyone coming into the world.  He is the eternal flame that gives fire to all else.  He has life within Himself and He can give it to anyone He pleases.  The Life we have now is from Him.  He is Life.  And so much more than that…

The Lord our Banner
